Summary
The annual DairyNZ/LIC New Zealand Dairy Statistics gives the national effective (milking-platform) dairy area, the tighter denominator for the model’s dairy diesel derivation. It excludes support and runoff blocks, so it produces a higher per-hectare diesel figure than the total-farm-extent area, and is the more appropriate basis for on-milking-platform machinery energy.
