Summary
Horizons Regional Council’s Reasonable Stock Water Requirements Guidelines consolidates the NZ stock-water literature (Aqualinc, Dexcel/DairyNZ, Lincoln Environmental 2003) into per-head drinking-water and dairy-shed estimates for resource-consent design. It supplies the livestock water-demand figures the model previously lacked. Figures are given as average-day (ADD) and peak-day (PDD) demand.
